DNREC's current Delmarva schedule (July 1, 2026) pays $0.80 per watt, capped at $10,000, for homeowners who buy a qualifying system. You assign SRECs to the state when you take the grant. Leases and PPAs are excluded. DEC and municipal customers have their own grant paths — we quote the one that matches your bill.
No tax credit. The cash grant plus zero sales tax is the Delaware stack. Do not add a 'state tax credit' line to anyone's proposal.
Yes. Residential systems up to 25 kW get full-retail credit. Unused kilowatt-hours roll forward. You choose the true-up month so leftover production is less likely to go unused.

Owned systems typically help at resale. Delaware also has a statewide solar-rights law (25 Del. C. §318) that blocks HOAs from unreasonably banning rooftop solar. Leased systems transfer through the lease, not as owned equity.
Crews are typically on the roof 1-3 days. Permits and utility interconnection usually bring the full project in around 8-12 weeks. Grant payment, when awarded, can follow later — we do not treat the rebate check as permission to operate.
